Holds both an honours degree and a PhD in chemistry, he is also a Chartered Chemist and Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry. David has over twenty five years of experience working in both academic and industrial research laboratories, including fifteen years of experience working in the pharmaceutical industry.
He has a very strong background in both organic and analytical chemistry and has experience in solving chemistry based problems with consumer products by studying reaction pathways and identifying solutions, and creating new analytical techniques for trace contaminants in food, industrial and environmental samples. David also has very strong skills in nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectroscopy and has over ten years of experience applying NMR to drug development.
David also has extensive experience developing, validating and managing laboratory infrastructure and laboratory quality systems, including preparation for Good Laboratory Practice, Good Manufacturing Practice and ISO 17025 accreditation.
